Classical choral music by the masters. performances=Three Sunday evenings at 7:30 PM. Admission $10.00 per person. Concerts are held at Payson Park Church, 365 Belmont Street, Belmont, MA. Corner of Belmont St. and Payson Rd. On #73 Waverly bus line from Harvard Square; Payson Rd. stop. Return rides to Harvard Sq., Boston, etc. can be arranged with fellow participants. None! The evenings begin with a few minutes of vocal exercises followed by rehearsal of difficult passages and transitions in the work. The work is then read through from beginning to end (sometimes omitting sections) as if it were a concert. This is a unique opportunity to experience important choral works with full orchestra under an outstanding conductor. All singers with some choir or choral experience are welcome. If you are unsure of your abilities or are unfamiliar with the work, the presence of numerous strong singers can help you stay on track. No reservations are required. Vocal scores are provided.
