Founded in 2001, the Community Chorus in Weston (CCW) is a vibrant ensemble of singers united by a shared passion for great choral (from early to contemporary) music and community connection. Because we are a non-auditioned chorus, all voices, skill levels, and backgrounds are genuinely welcome.
Our music brings people together from all over—drawing members from roughly 17 different Boston-area communities, including Weston, Brookline, Newton, Waltham, Lincoln, Framingham, and Wayland, with some dedicated singers traveling from as far as Gloucester and Dartmouth! We practice Monday evenings in Weston from September-December and January-May.
Under the direction of Dr. Thérèse Provenzano, a consummate music professional who has led CCW since its inception, we perform two major concerts each year. Dr. Provenzano expertly balances a commitment to high musical standards across a variety of genres with an atmosphere that is encouraging, challenging, and deeply fun.
Beyond the music, we love to connect. Members and guests regularly gather after performances and throughout the year to socialize and build lasting friendships.
