Mastersingers USA was founded in 1996 and brings together annually 50-70 singers in order to rehearse and perform a varied repertoire – Renaissance motets, foreign folksongs, spirituals, contemporary favorites – for delighted audiences at home and abroad.  Convening for only a long weekend each June in an American city, MUSA  enjoys the loyalty of experienced singers from all walks of life, of all ages and from all over the country. Every three years, Mastersingers pursues a concert tour for ten days in Europe.  Singing a largely a cappella repertoire, the ensemble depends on singers previewing the pieces on their own with support of audio and video aids. The group enjoys a distinctive sound and international reputation.  MUSA won the male chorus first prize at the legendary International Eisteddfodd Choral Competition in Llangollen, Wales.
