Audition now for the Master Singers of Lexington!

The Master Singers of Lexington is currently auditioning singers (all voice parts) to join the final concert of our 56th season, Lieder & Chansons, a rich and expressive program of French and German music. The concert will be on Saturday, May 2 at 8PM at Pilgrim Church in Lexington and features works by Brahms, Poulenc, Saint-Saëns, Hugo Wolf and other masters.

The Master Singers of Lexington is an outstanding 30-voice chamber chorus that offers an exceptional musical experience in a suburban location minutes from Routes 2, 3 and 128. Under the leadership of Adam Grossman, the ensemble is noted for inventive programming and compelling performances. Experienced singers from communities throughout Greater Boston enjoy singing with this wonderful ensemble. Concerts are performed both a cappella and with chamber orchestra, and soloists are typically drawn from the membership. Rehearsals are Wednesday nights from 7:30-10:00 pm, at First Parish Church, 7 Harrington Road, on the Battle Green in Lexington Center, which is handicapped accessible and offers ample free parking.

Auditions for interested singers of all voice parts will include vocalizing, performing a prepared piece, and sight-reading. What we look for:  (1) breadth of choral singing experience, and (2) vocal quality, including how does your voice work with others in your section.

Auditions will be held by appointment on Wednesday evenings from February 4 – March 11 for our spring concert, or until April 22 for consideration for next year.

To schedule an audition, email msingers@themastersingers.org or call (339) 223-9832 (before 10 pm).
