Sing with Us!
The Cambridge Chamber Singers are now holding auditions for experienced singers, all voices, for their 46th season! Auditions will be held online on August 24, 25, September 8 and September 9, by appointment.

The chorus is about 35 mixed voices, auditioned, and unaccompanied.

Our fall program, Noël, Sacred and Secular: French Music, Medieval to Present, will include French music from 1100 to present, including Debussy’s Trois Chansons, Medieval and Renaissance motets, and jazz carols.

Rehearsals start on Thursday, September 10, at 7:00 PM, at MIT Building 5, Room 134 (77 Massachusetts Ave), and continue every Thursday thereafter from 7:15 PM to 9:45 PM until 12/10 (no rehearsal on Thanksgiving 11/26).

All singers are required to be vaccinated for COVID-19. Masks are optional.

Preparing for Your Audition

In the 10-minute audition you will:

1)  Sing a prepared, unaccompanied piece – something you’re comfortable with. Demonstrate accuracy and expressiveness.

2)  Sight read Renaissance and contemporary excerpts.

3)  Do some vocal exercises across your range as requested.

4)  Sing back a series of intervals.
