Present: St. Cecilia Mass, by Charles Gounod, with a selection of seasonal festive music

To celebrate the return of our full chorus to the public stage after three years, we are thrilled to present Gounod’s lyrically beautiful and uplifting Mass in honor of St. Cecilia, the patron saint of music. At its first performance in May 1841, the composer Camille Saint-Saëns reported: “at first one was dazzled, then charmed, then conquered.” We invite you to join us at Kresge Auditorium, Cambridge, on December 18 at 4:00 p.m. to experience this dazzling work firsthand, along with other festive musical surprise treats!
