Event Information:

Chorus member Diane Taraz traces the long and winding road to the 19th Ammendment, ratified in 1920.  Efforts to win this essential right began as the United States was forming and lasted throughout the 1800’s, becoming entangled with the fight to abolish enslavement.  An amendment was finally proposed in 1878, but it took 41 years to become law.  The details are fascinating, the music lively and compelling.  This is a benefit for Concord Women’s Chorus.  Suggested donation is $20.
