Join boundary-breaking choral ensemble Eudaimonia Voices to lift up your voice and Declare! As our nation heads to the polls for midterm elections, the chorus offers a bold musical take on our nation’s bisesquicentennial with Consent of the Governed: Singing 250 Years Toward Democracy including the world premiere of John Howell Morrison’s experimental choral setting of language form the Declaration of Independence. The program on Sunday, November 1 featuring music from the Baroque era to the present also presents excerpts from Handel’s Athalia, the world premiere of Eva Montgomery Morrison’s Freedom’s Charms Unfold based on writing by Phillis Wheatley, and a set of Shaker songs. The concert takes place at 7:30 p.m. at First Parish in Cambridge, 3 Church St., Harvard Square. The evening highlights the work of Partners in Democracy as part of Eudaimonia’s unique social action partnership program.
