The Metropolitan Chorale invites experienced choral singers to audition for our 2026-27 season. We are looking for singers with strong vocal and reading skills.
The Metropolitan Chorale is a 100-voice auditioned chorus that is recognized as one of Metro Boston’s premier choral ensembles. In addition to musical excellence, the Chorale is known for its camaraderie and diverse programming. We are a welcoming and inclusive ensemble, committed to creating an environment where every member of our community feels valued and respected.
Our 2026-27 season will offer four concert cycles culminating in performances in November, March, April and May. Our Pops Choir (an auditioned ensemble) will join the Boston Pops, under the direction of Keith Lockhart for a series of holiday concerts throughout New England in December.
The Chorale rehearses in Brookline at the Driscoll School (725 Washington Street) on Tuesdays from 7-9:30 PM.
The first step in our audition process is to receive information, and a preliminary recording from interested singers. It is from this pool of submitted recordings that we will be inviting singers to an in-person audition on Tuesday, 8/25 – Thursday, 8/27. In-person auditions are by invitation.
