Please join Voices Rising as we explore the beauty and the constancy of earth, air, fire and water in Turn the World Around: songs of nature and the elements. With music from the folk tradition, popular tunes from Broadway and Harry Belafonte, and songs from some of our favorite women composers, Joan Szymko, Andrea Ramsey and Sarah Quartel, we reach across time and cultures to connect with the energy of our natural environment. When so much of our world feels unstable and volatile, this choral concert features music that will both soothe your soul and ignite your spirit of defiance.
